What is Family Promise of Bryan-College Station, Inc.?
Family Promise of Bryan-College Station, Inc., is an area-wide, faith-based, non-profit ministry that supports families who are experiencing homelessness as they search for jobs, undergo job training, and obtain permanent housing. The ministry is affiliated with the nationwide Family Promise which began in New York City in 1986.
In calendar year 2007, Family Promise nationwide served 3,100 families, which included 5,723 children, 46% of whom were age 5 or younger. 80% of the famlies who complete the program have secured permanent housing.
